# Meters

> Managing energy, water, and waste meters in Abisko.

Meters are used to track all energy, water and waste consumption data. This data is used to for calculating and reporting property and portfolio-level performance metrics. Meter data can come from a variety of sources and can be enriched to enable more complex reporting.

## Meter Data Sources

Meter data can come from a variety of sources.

1. Abisko

2. ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager® (ESPM)
   * Leverage a comprehensive integration with ESPM to sync all meters and consumption data tracked nightly or on-demand. [Learn More](/espm/meter-espm-sync).
3. Utility Sync
   * Leverage Abisko's utility sync capabilities to automatically import meter data from your utility on a quarterly basis.
